Suricate new website is now online, including a forum section !

Amongst several minor updates, this version highly improves filtering behaviour. - offensive images, scripts, ... are filtered even if they are embedded in non offensive sites.
Ex : www.google.com results embedding an image from www.porn.com : the image is blocked ( and replaced by a standard suricate image ) - content of whitelisted pages is not blocked, even if it comes from an offensive site.
Ex : youtube.com pages embeds content from ytimg.com. Both sites are blacklisted. If you add youtube.com in your whitelist, content from ytimg.com will not be blocked.

Today we start the development of 2.x branch.
Dev should last several weeks. Public release is expected before the end of the year.
The most important feature of the first release is the ability to share settings ( local lists ) amongst several PCs.
You will also be able to modify remotely theses settings through our new website. |
It includes a lot of light improvements of the look&feel
It allows to delete settings or keep them for future use when uninstalling
It improves robustness of the blacklist update process |
