Suricate is a collaborative parental control tool
Parental control as it aims at denying access from your children to web sites that they should not see.
Collaborative as its efficiency is proportional to the number of users.
It works this way :
Each time you hit a web page that you consider not acceptable for children, please click on Suricate button.
This action has a double effect : denying access to this url from your browser and signaling Suricate central site that this url is considered as offensive by a Suricate user.

This way, Suricate central site gathers a huge number of "non visible by children" sites and is able compute, then publish a list of those sites.
Your browser is frequently updated with a copy of this list, enabling it to deny access.

At the time being the application is embedded in a single firefox addon, including the following features :

• a signaling button, to advert Suricate central site about an url.
• a preference setting window
• a blocking component
